Responding to a house fire in Parramatta in the mid-1990s, a fireman discovered a pile of old films in the garage.

It is not known who owned or made them, but fortunately he recognised their historical significance and ultimately, the films found their way to Graeme Belbin for preservation and mastering.

16mm film, particularly colour from the 1940s and 50s, is exceedingly rare and, with all Australian states covered, this 'work in progress' promises to be of great historical significance with many spectacular subjects never before seen on DVD.
